Coastal Cruising
With a remarkable choice of cabin, deck and rig arrangements makes the up to 6+2 berth Contest 42CS fully capable of safe, comfortable and fast ocean passaging while also offering perfect coastal hopping and bay outings for younger families or couples simply vacationing.
Interior
From soft cornered cabinets, to upholstered panels and Corian galley top, the finish is lustrous, tactile, complete, the sense of a very much bigger boat. By day natural lights fills every cabin and by night feature lighting illuminates luxuriously. Fittings and furnishings are all of top quality and easy access to all service points is in-built, a fine achievement for such a customisable interior.
Exterior
Outfitting is first class with vacuum bonded eco-decking, top brand hardware and clever design detailing such as the aft-led sail controls channelled invisibly, internally through the mullions in the coachroof glazing. Choice begins with two key deck plans: Shorthanded and Performance, each with winch and sheeting layouts designed accordingly around the two different cockpit versions.
Sail Plan
Swept back, two spreader rig with options of aluminium or carbon with in-mast, in-boom or slab reefing. Integral retractable bowsprit and tidy, beneath-deck headsail furler.
Interior Layout
The accommodation sections are interchangeable and also introduce detail differences, eg wet locker or shower stall added to day head swaps out for separate chart table.
Deck Layout
Shorthanded and Performance versions feature different arrangements from cockpit floor traveller to coachroof main sheet and outboard or central in-cockpit winching.
